We were deeply saddened to learn of the recent death of one of our former teachers, Julie Riley. Julie passed away suddenly on Friday 29th October, following complications from surgery. We hold in our hearts Julie’s beloved family: husband Bruce, son Bing, and daughters Calypso, Dexy and Djembe.

Julie was a good many things; creative, colourful and vibrant, caring, witty and direct, but mostly she was passionate. Passionate about the things she believed in, passionate about her family, passionate about teaching and above all else, her students.

We remember Mary Ryan, the mother of staff member Gen Brega, who died last week, along with all in our community who have lost loved ones as a consequence of COVID-19.

So, our prayer in this month of November:

Lord of all gentleness, surround us with your care and comfort us in our sorrow.

Lord, we entrust all those who have died to your mercy:

welcome them into your presence.

You loved them greatly in this life,

now give them happiness and peace for ever.

Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May they rest in peace.
