Multi Genre Writing Project

This term, all students in Prep - Year 6 completed a Multi Genre Writing Project as a component of the English curriculum. This project allows students to express their ideas and hopes on issues and topics that are important to them. It both empowers and engages students, because it gives them a voice. Students were required to:

1. Create a presentation about a chosen topic that has written and visual parts
2. Write a variety of genres to suit different purposes
3. Communicate their ideas clearly using the correct genre structure
4. Organise time effectively and demonstrate their use of the writing process.

Last week, students showcased their development as a writer and celebrated this whole-school initiative.
