We are very excited to be welcoming our P-2 students back next Tuesday 26th of May. Students in Year 3-6 will continue with remote learning until the 9th June.
Today you will have received an email outlining the new processes we have put in place to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy when returning to school. We have also included a social story to support the transition back that you can share with your children. We are counting down the days until we see our students back in their classrooms.
While the Chief Health Officer has advised that students will not be required to maintain physical distancing at school, please see below some important changes to our operations, consistent with the Victorian health advice. This will apply until further notice.
This coming Monday the 25th May, is a State Wide Pupil Free Day. Students are not required at school and there will be no onsite supervision, remote learning or OSHC program.
The advice from DET has not changed in relation to students, if they can learn from home, they must learn from home. This will apply up until your child's return attendance date.
There is a criteria students must meet to be approved for on-site attendance.
If you require your child to attend school onsite, you must complete the application form by Thursday 10am the week before you may need to send your child to school. The roster of staff is then completed. An outcome of the attendance form is then communicated on a Friday to families.
With the weather cooling down, please also remember that if a student is even mildly unwell, they and any siblings must not be at school.
Our students who have been learning onsite have been busy making a 'Thank You' banner outlined in their own hand prints for our Front Line Workers. Our students thought it would be nice to acknowledge all the hard work and effort they are putting in at the moment ensuring our community remains fit, healthy and safe.
We were lucky enough to have representatives from Echuca Regional Health, the CFA, SES, Ambulance Victoria and Echuca Police join us on Wednesday for a photo and an opportunity for our students to say a very big Thank You!
Hard copy learning packs will now be available for pick up between 12pm - 2pm on Fridays. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Please check out our new virtual tour on the website.
