Grounds News

The 'fun' continues!!!

Concrete slab being poured

On Friday 110621, the concrete slab will be poured for the CSPS Capital Works.  This is a very exciting moment indeed.

With such, we would like the school community to aware of the following:

  • works commence at ~6am and finishing into the night
  • there will be approximately 35 concrete truck loads (2 – 3 trucks at one time) moving throughout the day
  • trucks will wait on Pearcedale Road, near the pedestrian crossing, prior to entering the grounds
  • the turn circle for the concrete trucks will be safely within the school grounds
  • additional staff from Newton Manor Construction, as well as our very own Mr Corcoran, will assist with traffic management
  • there will be ~20 additional Newton Manor tradespeople on site, therefore additional trade vehicles may be parked on Pearcedale Road, near the pedestrian crossing (opposite side to trucks)

Note:  Kerry, the crossing supervisor, has been informed

  • the bulk of concrete delivery will be prior to 3pm and should not affect the afternoon finish of the day

Can all families please be aware that although every measure is being put into place to ensure flow of traffic, please consider delays in your normal commute to school.

Having said this, if families are late, staff and Principal discretion will prevail.
