Practicing Gratitude

We have much to be grateful for.  I know during these trying times, it may seem like finding the 'silver lining' is challenging.  It is during these times that we need to possibly look for a 'bronze lining' and aim from there.

Let's see... I am grateful for:

  • the wind so my washing line clothes (under a veranda) dry quickly
  • the breaks in the rain, so I can go for a quick run (freezing as it may be)
  • hairdressers being available soon to help with my interesting colour :

Oh yeah... I am extremely grateful for my staff, students and families.  I am grateful the way we rally together and support each other.

I am grateful that I get to see all my gorgeous Cranbourne South kids back at school.

How can you practice gratefulness in the last 2 weeks of Term 2?

Welcome back to school:

Friday 110621

The Victorian Government has announced new arrangements for schools in Victoria from and including Friday 11 June.

Based on advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer, schools in metropolitan Melbourne will return to face-to-face learning and teaching for all students from and including Friday 11 June 2021.

This means that students will return to on-site learning at school from Friday 11 June.

For further information see the attachment.

2022 Booklists - Changes

On May 19, 2021, School Council endorsed outsourcing to Campion to manage booklists for 2022.

Book lists will be ordered directly by parents/carers with Campion's portal, and if ordered by the cut off date (date yet to be determined), will be delivered to the school in January at no additional cost.

Late orders will incur a $5.95 delivery fee.

More details will be provided in due course.

Well done on a great two weeks of remote learning!  The attendance of students on site and remotely continued to be a major daily focus.  Your assistance with our roll marking procedure was greatly appreciated.

From Friday, 11 June, standard attendance marking procedures will resume.  Automated texts will be sent at 10 am for all students marked as Not Present Unexplained.

All unexplained absences will be followed up by the classroom teacher.  It is a DET requirement that 100% of our students are accounted for each day.
