Young House Community Involvement

Over the past few years, Young House has established a strong connection with the Hamilton Uniting Church as part of our Community Service commitment. This gives our House the opportunity to develop a greater connection to the community while helping those less fortunate.

Each Tuesday a small group of Young House students from Year 7-12 offer their time and services to help prepare, serve and clean up after a meal for those in need. 

This week Max Hausler, Dominic Wong, Hayden Parker and Charlie Duver were the first group to volunteer. Both the Church volunteers and those who enjoyed the delicious food this week were impressed by the students’ maturity, friendliness, and approachability. Our students did a magnificent job engaging with the community and showed great initiative jumping in and helping out wherever possible. Well done to these boys, the standard has been set high for the rest of Young House!

Young House students are reminded to keep an eye on the roster on Teams so they are aware when they are scheduled to attend.
