Parents & Friends 

Dear all,

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our AGM last week. After no P&F general meetings for a whole year, it was great to see such a fantastic turn out and lots of new faces. You could feel the enthusiasm in the room and it was most enlightening to have both Steve Nelson and Andrew Hirst present their vision for both Junior and Senior campuses to us. It was wonderful to hear that the school is in a great position going forward, with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline.

We said goodbye to Di Austin and Jodie Russell after 5.5 years on the committee as Secretary and Treasurer. They have been such incredible contributors to the school and the P&F and will sorely missed. Though they are well deserving of a break! We welcomed Sarah Baker as the new Secretary and Stacy Balkin as the Treasurer and the skills these two bring to these positions are phenomenal. We plan to start a general committee this year with sub committees for things like fundraising and marketing to encourage more involvement from our parent body. If you are interested in being involved in this capacity or have any suggestions for fundraising activities that we can undertake (other than the Christmas Cakes which is already planned) - please let us know by emailing  paf@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au.   We will start a register of those who wish to be involved and contacted.

I would like to welcome Sally Finch in the School Canteen who has got off to a great start. The response to our request for more parent volunteers to assist in the Canteen has been fantastic but we need to cover more days so please if you have a couple of hours free even once a month call Fi at the Senior School Campus and put your name on a roster. Sally will welcome your help, and company, and it’s a great way to be involved with the school while ensuring this service keeps running. We have all been caught on a Monday morning with nothing edible in the house!
