Learning and Teaching
Celebrating our learning
Over the past two weeks, the children have continued their learning program online. They have shown creativity and positivity towards their work and the teachers have been enjoying hearing their responses and sharing during whole class Google meets.
Year Prep Community
In Art, the Preps were learning to use collage materials to make a face.
To achieve the goal, they had to:
- Collect paper and other collage materials from around the house and the yard
- Decide which materials are best for the parts
- Paste or place the collage materials on the paper
Ms Nathalie posted some wonderful pictures of the collages that the Prep Community completed in Art this week. Check out their work below:
Year 1 and 2 Community
The Year 1 and 2 children have been doing lots of research about habitats and animals over the past few weeks. They have learned how to collect specific information about an animal such as the type of animal it is, what it looks like, where it lives and any other information they feel would be interesting for others to read. The animal they have chosen will match the diorama of the habitat they are making. Check out their work below:
Year 3 and 4 Community
Over the past term, the Year 3 and 4 children have been learning about Science and conducting different experiments to see how things work. They were recently given the challenge to make a chain reaction thinking about how gravity and friction affect objects. Check out the pictures of the different ways they arranged their chain reactions below:
Year 5 and 6 Community
Over the past term, the Year 5 and 6 students have been working in teams developing ideas for a product to sell at their community market later in the term. They are now working together to develop a Shark Tank pitch, advertising and slideshow to accompany their product. Some examples of what they have been developing are below:
Well done to everyone in the Corpus Christi Community for the hard work and persistence shown over this remote learning! Great job!
