This semester, students will be making a folio of prints that communicate how types of line and colours can be used to make a pattern. They will explore techniques and processes of printmaking including mono-printing and relief prints. Students will investigate artists such as Edgar Degas and Pablo Picasso who use these visual conventions. They will investigate how Vincent Van Gogh hand-painted his relief prints and apply this knowledge to their own work. Students will have the opportunity at the end of semester to display their resolved artworks in an exhibition. Don’t forget, the Art Shack is always open if you want to pop inside and see what the students are up to.
Rockhampton North Special School would like to thank Pete and Evonne from PnE Framing for donating a sizable canvas that our students can't wait to add colour to at our end of year concert - a performance piece! This painting will be hung in the new building when it is built. Thanks again for your continued support Pete and Von!
