Awesome Teacher:

Huge congratulations to teacher Nuree Greenhalgh who recently travelled to Columbia with her young athletics athletes as New Zealand coach at the World Under 20 Championships.

Nuree has now returned from Columbia - a place with so many challenges. She had a heavy police escort protection everywhere she went. Poverty is a major challenge for many, and a plague of mosquitos was also a considerable challenge. 

Nuree managed one of her athletes to recover from a late hamstring strain to still get to the start line and compete. Mia - another of her athletes - smashed her Auckland under 20 record and almost broke the New Zealand record.
