Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

This week we celebrate all that we have achieved throughout Term 3, 2022.

Congratulations to all of our community for working so magnificently together to support our students. It has been such a pleasure to work with you throughout the term and to welcome our parents into our community, especially on the special celebrations. The Father’s Day afternoon, Family Fun Fridays, Maths Afternoon, Parish Aths, STEM Rotary, Cafes and Masses to mention a few, have all been wonderful opportunities to gather together ensuring all of our community feel a great sense of belonging.

Thank you to all parents for working in partnership with us throughout the term. The quality of the engagement in learning and the quality of the relationships between home and school have been a testament to you all.  We can not thank you enough for all you have done.

Thank you to our amazing staff who have gone above and beyond working tirelessly throughout the past term ensuring every student belongs, connects and grows in their learning. I am so proud of every member of staff and thank each of them for the brilliant effort.

A big thank you to Kate Huon, Sally Taylor and all of those involved in our surprise helicopter fly-over last Thursday, students were then treated to a visit from some of the pilots, where they engaged in Question and Answer time to learn more about the knowledge, skills and dispositions that helped them to be successful.

Thank you to Emily Reed for supporting our District Aths team to compete at Mornington on Thursday. Well done to all of the students who participated and to Toby and Koby for getting through to the next level.

Well done to our STEM Rotary teams. The 2 teams participated in the STEM rotary competition on Thursday where they were challenged to construct a medieval catapult in 1 hour. The atmosphere was amazing and our students were guided by local engineers to engage in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics behind these constructions. A big thank you to Kerry Colliver and Dom Taylor for preparing and supporting these students leading up to the competition.

Don’t forget to come along to our Learning Expo this week on Wednesday between 2:45 and 3:30pm. This term students have been learning about the concept of creativity and have been engaging in various forms of creativity to deepen their skills and dispositions. Come along to see some of the amazing creations they have designed and how they have documented their learning.

Just a reminder the second hand uniform shop is open every Friday morning for parents. They have a lot of smaller sizes available and will be open this Friday before school.

As we go into the term break please take the time to make moments matter and just relax and enjoy our health, wellbeing and families.

We finish Term 3 this Friday, with our end of term assembly at 12:00pm and students being dismissed at 1:00pm. Term 4 commences on Monday 3rd October.

Take care, stay safe and well and enjoy some precious time with your family. I look forward to continuing on our journey together in Term 4.

Yours in Partnership,

Sue Jackson
