Last week at Assembly our very first ‘Golden Bins Award’ was presented to Mrs Rules and Mrs Taylor’s Prep Class. This was nominated by our Year 6 Green Team. One class each fortnight will have the honour of keeping the Golden Bins in their room to remind them that they are doing all the right things to be as ‘Green’ as possible with our rubbish. Prep GR will also get to spend an afternoon with our Year 6 Inclusive leaders to do nature craft as an acknowledgment and a thankyou for their choices. Not only was this class very good at choosing where to put their rubbish (organics, recycling and waste), they were also noted as the most polite and grateful to the Green Team for their assistance. Thankyou to our Green Team leaders who assist students in all PODS at the end of the day to make the right choices when disposing of their classroom rubbish.

Well done to all families who continue to pack rubbish free lunch boxes and for those that do have rubbish, well done for taking responsibility for it by taking it home and disposing it thoughtfully. It’s been wonderful to hear stories about families who are consciously collecting their soft plastics at home and taking them to the supermarket.
