Steps in Faith Program

The children in our school and parish community are nearly at the end of their Sacramental journey. By gathering in family groups each week, the children and their families are being strengthened in their faith and knowledge about the final Sacraments of Initiation. These children and their families will be celebrating their Confirmation and First Eucharist, over the weekends of 3rd/4th September and 17th/18th September. As they move closer to celebrating, we keep them in our prayers.

Year Level Masses

We have been blessed to have friends, family and parishioners join our weekly masses to celebrate together with Fr Novie. Masses will be on Friday’s at 12.30pm in the Brigidine Centre, unless otherwise notified.

Friday 25th August - Year 6

Friday 2nd September - Year 1

Friday 8th September - Year 4

Thank you to the family and community members who joined us to celebrate the Assumption of Mary at our whole school mass last week. Fr Novie led us in a beautiful acknowledgement of Mary, Jesus’ mother and our Saint. Mary was an exceptional woman who inspires us today to be people of faith, trust and love for all of creation. Fr Novie taught us about the difference between Jesus’ Ascension and Mary’s Assumption and then played a fun game of Chinese whispers to reinforce the learning. The Year 5 children led us beautifully through the readings and prayers and a reverent dance for the Canticle of Mary.

The Foundation liturgy last week was a very special acknowledgement of how we can serve God by serving others. In class, children have been learning about how God encourages us to reach out to others, and this culminated in a liturgy where children brought in food to donate to St Vincent De Paul for people in our community.

Coffee and chat is back!

Come and join other parents and carers in the Brigidine Centre every Monday 8.30-9.15. Great way to meet new people!

Altar Servers

Altar Servers

Any children who have celebrated their Confirmation / First Eucharist in the last 3 years are invited to join our school and/or parish Altar Server roster. If your child would like to learn how to altar serve in our school and/or parish, please email Mrs Gould to express an interest. We will be running a training session at school at the end of this term and would love more children to join us.

St Mary’s Parish Stewardship Program -

**Census closes at the end of August**

Help us reinvigorate our Parish!

We are calling on all our new, old and existing members to complete our Parish Census. Families at St Mary’s and St Joseph’s are especially invited to complete the census.

The Census aims to gather information about who is currently involved in the parish community, who would like to be involved, what gifts and talents you have to contribute, what events, activities and services you would like to see in the future and how we could better support you as a member of our Catholic Parish.

Let’s work together to help our Parish flourish now and in the future!
