Kindergarten News:

The Disco was a huge amount of fun, it was so wonderful to see such happy and excited children attend.

Budja:

It was certainly a busy week at Kinder, with buddies, Father's Day/Special Person's Day concerts, stalls and the School Disco all happening this week.

The children had a wonderful time at Buddies, they were incredibly excited to be visiting the Year Four students again and many remembered their buddies names. The children used the upcoming Father's and Special Person's Day to create a collaborative art piece with a Year Four student.

Our concert was a lot of fun, the children were very excited on a Friday afternoon, but none the less, they did an incredible job of participating as a class in front of a large group of adults.

Moments like this are important steps in developing leadership, confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self and identity.

We have found that with the busyness of everything of late, the children have found managing all the stimulus and inputs of the session challenging. We are looking to reset, slow the program down and work on regulating and calming again over the course of the next few sessions.

Marram:

It was another busy and very exciting week at kindergarten!

This week the children were invited to visit the Father’s Day stall to choose a gift for their father or special person. This afforded children the opportunity to engage with simple concepts of money, price, change, as well as needs and wants.

The children were also THRILLED to go back and visit their Year 4 buddies at ‘the big school’. Miss Wang read a story to begin with and then our children paired up with their buddy to complete an activity for a special person in their lives. Thank you so much for having us!

Then of course we had our Father's Day and Special Person's concert . The children had been working very hard on learning their songs and it was wonderful to watch their confidence soar at showing their learning to their fathers and special people, and the joy of singing and dancing with their peers.
