Principal's Report

On Saturday, at the John Cain Arena in Melbourne, the Victorian State Schools Spectacular shows were held featuring student performers from across the state. I am very proud that for the first time ever, Staughton College was represented at the show.
A team of students led by Ed Boyle were the puppeteers for a giant inflatable puppet called Catbot. This was an incredibly exciting experience for all involved. We are greatly indebted to Ed and Nicole Jowett for the hours of organising that went into the preparation for this event and the dedication of the students learning, practicing and performing. It was another great example of the interesting and creative things that our students are capable of.
During term 3, I have again been impressed by the way that our whole Staughton Family has been able to stay committed to supporting our young people. In classrooms, there has continued to be an emphasis on strong learning routines and the development of a positive class culture. Outside of the classroom, we have had another great term of extracurricular activities including many sport and performing arts events such as the whole school production of The Horde.
I would like to thank parents for staying connected with the school to support our students inside and outside the classroom. I would like to thank Teachers and Education Support staff for their genuine care and effort in what they do. Finally, I would like to thank our students for successfully reengaging back into school life onsite this year.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
