Women in Engineering

Grace Frazzica and Sing-Sing Dempster from CPB Contractors spoke to Year 9 students at the end of term 3 about their career journeys in engineering. They particuarly focused on their experiences as women working in a traditionally male dominated field.

Grace and Sing-Sing spoke about studying at university, and the various projects they had worked on in infrastructure construction with CPB Contractors and their activities on a typical work day.

Projects included the building of Southern Cross Station, the Werribee Water Treatment Plant and the drilling of the Westgate Tunnel.

We were delighted that they were able to give their time to our students which increase the students understanding of engineering and associated fields as a career option.
