The Kinder will be closed this Monday for the Labour Day public holiday.  We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday and hope everyone enjoys a relaxing long weekend.

Harmony Day

Harmony day is coming up, a time of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home.  The school is celebrating on Monday 27th March, when children are invited to come to school wearing clothing that represents their cultural identity or the colour orange which celebrates harmony.  We will be talking about kindness, family, friendship and diversity.  Over the course of the week each group will have a day for the children to participate by dressing up, please refer to your child's teachers direct communications as to when this day will be for your child.

Class Parent Representative

We are looking for one parent from each of the groups to be the "Class Parent".  This role is to help establish some communication between parents in each of the groups.  You might like to set up a WhatsApp group for ease of communication or something similar. You could then organise coffee catch ups or playground visits, or it could simply be a quick way for parents to ask questions of each other or remind each other of upcoming events.

If you are interested in helping set this up for your child's group, please let you teacher know ASAP and we can give you more information.

Late Pick ups

This is a reminder that it is an expectation that children are picked up promptly at the end of their sessions.  Of course, we understand unforeseen circumstances occur, please call us in the event of you running late to pick up.  This means we can settle your child and tell them we have spoken to you, and you are on your way.   The teachers need the time after the session for cleaning up and resetting the room and administrative tasks.  This is an important part of their day and they can not start these tasks until all children have been collected.

Therefore consistent late pick ups will incur a late fee as per the rates below:

15-29 mins - $20

30-44 mins - $50

Every 15 mins thereafter $40

You will find the full Fees Policy on our website.

Program Highlight

It has been so lovely watching many of the children enjoying our digging patch and mud kitchen area in our yard over the last couple of weeks.  The children are becomking independant at choosing a pair of gumboots and changing their shoes, they are working individually and in co operation with others with a common goal.  They are getting messy and they are having so much fun, but most of all they are learning so many skills and building strength in so mamy important muscles for other work.
