Term 1

As we wrap up another exciting term at our school, we are delighted to share some of the fantastic highlights and memorable experiences our students have enjoyed this term.

First and foremost, our beach excursion was a tremendous success, with students engaging in fun-filled activities and building camaraderie while appreciating the beauty of our coastal environment. It was an excellent opportunity for our students to strengthen friendships, develop new skills, and gain a greater appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Classes A and B as part of experience days had the chance to tour the iconic MCG, where they learned about the history and significance of this world-renowned sports venue. The hike at Binnak Park provided an excellent opportunity for our students to connect with nature, improve their physical fitness, and enjoy the outdoors. The exhilarating bounce experience allowed them to test their agility and have a great time in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Fit For Life program has been a popular and invigorating part of the term, with activities like gym sessions, dancing, boxing, walking, La Trobe sports, and inter-school sports, keeping our students active, healthy, and motivated.

The Headspace Workshop offered valuable insights and tools for mental health awareness and self-care, while Harmony Day activities celebrated our diverse community and encouraged understanding and inclusivity among students.

Our writing experiences in 9/10 have been both innovative and engaging. The Writing Bike experience proved to be a unique way to combine physical activity with creative expression. The Food Taste Writing experience allowed students to explore new flavours and develop an appreciation for diverse culinary experiences through written reflections. Lastly, the Gresswell Nature Forest Reserve Writing experience provided students with the opportunity to connect with nature and channel their observations and thoughts into creative written pieces.

In our STEAM classes, students delved into hands-on learning with subjects like bike mechanics, self-care creations, kitchen science, and Horticulture. These classes encouraged our students to think critically, solve problems, and develop practical skills, all while having fun and exploring new interests.

We are incredibly proud of the progress and achievements our 9/10 students have made this term, and we cannot wait to see what the next term has in store for them. A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students for making this term such a memorable and enriching experience.

Wishing everyone a relaxing and enjoyable break!
