Fathering Project

We are so excited to be bringing back the ‘Fathering Project’ to Mitcham Primary School in 2023. This program aims to involve positive male role models to be active members of our school community. Research shows that when male role models are involved in schools, we see increased student connectedness with school, increased self-esteem and resilience and an increase in positive behaviours.  

We will be kicking off our 2023 events with an Olympics and Picnic night, on Tuesday 28th March. Please check the attached poster for more information and RSVP via this link.   

We will be having a termly event to celebrate and build the relationship between students, their school and a positive male role model in their lives.  

We understand that all families are different so we encourage dads or uncles or grandads or a family friend - any positive male role model in our students’ life - to be a part of these events.
