After School Chess

Term 1 was great, watching the children develop their skills and strategies. Well done to all who participated. They all demonstrated good sportsmanship and improved their skills.

In Term Two, Chess Club will start on Wednesday 3rd May and finish on Wednesday 21st June. If your child would like to join Chess Club, please let the office know. I will notify you if your child has been successful in gaining a place. Those students who have been doing chess this term will automatically be able to attend for Term 2. Please let me know if your child does not want to continue doing chess next term.

Congratulations to Balkaran (5/6B), Miguel (5/6B) and Collin (5/6C) who all won medals in James’s group and to Lee (5/6B), Brooke (3/4D), Elise May (1-3C) and Lishan (1-3C), Eren (3/4E) and Reha (3/4D) who all won medals in Michael’s group. Next term Michael will be back for the group in room 7 and James will be back for the more experienced group in room 6.
