Inter-school Sports is a sports' tournament between different schools in the same district. It involves two seasons: summer sports and winter sports.Â
Â
On the 10th and 31st March the Year 6 students from Good Shepherd participated in the Summer Interschool Sports: Volleyball, Cricket, Softball and Tennis.    Â
On the 10th of March all the volleyball teams went to Interschool Sports and gave it their best. There were 2 girls teams and 2 mixed teams (G5,G7 and M9,M5). The Girls' team did an astounding job winning a lot of their games. Not only that, but the Boys won most of their games too!
On Friday 31st March in the second round, everybody tried their best but unfortunately none of the teams made it through to the next stage of the competition. There was an intensely close match between our G7 team and Mulgrave Primary in the grand final, but sadly G7 lost. Everybody was really happy to have played because they had a blast, and thatâs what itâs all about!
On Friday the 10th March and Friday the 31st March, eleven Year 6 students from Good Shepherd School went on a bus to cricket for Inter-school Sports at Freeway Reserve, Mulgrave. On the first day there were three games that the team played and they won the first two games with ease. They lost to St Justin's in the third game. Â Â
Â
On the next day of the Inter-school sports we first were up against a challenging team and lost but won the next game! It was challenging but we worked well as a team. We were in the FINALS! We were currently fourth on the ladder and we were against third place.  We lost but enjoyed the day. We headed back to school with a smile on our faces. We still won, not the competition, but in our hearts and had lots of fun on the way.
On the first day of Softball (Friday 10th March), the softballers all played their games against other schools in Mulgrave Primary School. There were 2 teams that consisted of 9-11 players. The girlâs softball team played two games whilst the boyâs softball team played three games. The girlâs softball team tried their very best but sadly didnât win any of their games on Day 1. Â On the boys' side of the field they were also playing really well and won all their games. When the scores were announced they were only able to edge out the other teams by around 2-3 points so it was extremely close. But in the end the boys were proud that they managed to win all their games .
On the second day (31st March) once again the boys played 3 games whilst the girls played 2 games. The boys were off to a great start but sadly they lost their first two games They played their final's game (3rd place playing against 4th place) and they won by two points!Â
As for the girls, they gave it their all again and nearly won, but they ultimately lost all their games.Â
At the end of the day, the boys' softball team came third and the girls' softball team came fifth. Everyone had fun and returned to school happy. They congratulated each other for doing their best!

HOTSHOT TENNIS :   đŸ
On the first and second days of the Inter-school Sports, we won lots of games.  After a while we were in the finals. In pool A, Mulgrave was the highest and in pool B we were the highest so we had to defeat Mulgrave to win the whole thing. We were all doing so well and a lot of us were winning. After the finals we were back on the bus home and Miss Gandolfo announced that Good Shepherd had won overall! We were all so happy, it was the best day for us.
