St Patrick's Day

On Friday March 17, the Year 6 School Captains and the Publicity Leaders went to Saint Patrick's Cathedral in the city. The ten students attended the annual Melbourne Saint Patrick's Day Mass. School Captains, Declan and Danny. held the Good Shepherd banner and walked through the cathedral before Mass. After Mass, students were invited to take a photo with the archbishop.
Once the Mass had ended the students took a short walk to the Treasury Gardens to have their lunch. The students participated in a tug-of-war competition against other schools and won most of the times they played. To wrap up the day, they watched a performance featuring Emmanuel College students. Overall the day was a great experience and opportunity for the Year 6 students.

Meanwhile, at Good Shepherd, staff and students attended a School Mass to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day. Students were invited to wear green and were treated to a sausage for lunch. Thank you so much to the parents who volunteered to cook and serve the sausages. It was an enjoyable day for everyone.
