BANYULE YOUTH SERVICES ONLINE WORKSHOPS
Banyule Youth Services has a whole range of FREE online workshops available for delivery in schools via Zoom. We also have a number of pre-recorded sessions available to download from our website.

Workshops include:
- Life Hacks – Learning about your legal rights and how to get a job
- Life Hacks – Learning tips and tricks about money and budgeting
- Wellbeing & Selfcare – What is Self-care and how can it help us?
- Safe Partying – information about staying safe, alcohol & more
- NEW Social media & Body image – how the internet can impact our self-esteem
- NEW Gender equality – learn what it is and how it is helpful for everybody
- NEW Music Vibes – Learn how Music can improve your mood (small group only)
- NEW Art vibes – how you can use Art as a form of mindfulness (small group only)
- NEW Youth work 101(for teachers & professionals) – understanding adolescence and using strength based frameworks to support young people

SEEKING TEACHER & SCHOOL FEEDBACK – WIN A $30 VOUCHER
Banyule Youth Services is seeking feedback from local secondary schools as to how they can best support teachers, students and the school community through COVID-19 and beyond.

TERM 3: WEEKLY ONLINE PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE:
Banyule Youth Services & Jets will return to online delivery from July 20th.
- IncArt- inclusive Drawing and visual Arts program;
- Band Jam- learn to play new songs with others;
- NEW - Music Vibes - share music and relax;
- New Hope – hip hop and Street Art;
- FReeZa - This term it’s is all about focusing on training. We’ll be exploring production/ film making or photography/ podcast skills;
- Rainbow Space - for people who identify as LGBTIQ+ and their allies;
- NEW - Production Crew learn how to make podcasts.
- NEW - DJ workshops put a playlist together, learn how to stream an event
- NEW- Being Well - our new weekly online events for young people
- NEW - D&D (Monthly) – online community of D&D players & those new to D&D. Meet people, learn new skills
Where: All via online platforms. Facilitators will provide links to participants on application.

NEW BEING WELL – WEEKLY WELLBEING PROGRAM
Being Well is Banyule Youth Services new calendar of weekly online events for young people ages 12 - 25.
You can come to one online event OR all of them - whichever interest you!
Happening each Friday for 6 weeks at 4pm on Zoom.
Friday 24th July at 4pm - Bullet Journaling - how writing things down can be great for your mental health
Friday 31st July at 4pm - Music for Mental Health - how music can be used as a great tool for positive wellbeing
Friday 7th August at 4pm - Study well from home - tips & tricks for making the most out of remote learning
Friday 14th August at 4pm - Zen your bedroom space - tips for creating a good bedroom space to help you
Friday 21st August at 4pm - Food & Mood - discover foods & recipes that are great for improving your mood!
Friday 28th August at 4pm - Using art to practise mindfulness - how art and craft can help your mental health

We have a whole range of resources available for young people and their parents and carers to help assist with studying successfully from home.

NEW – ONLINE EVENTS SUPPORT FOR THE COMMUNITY
Jets can support you to deliver your event online (dependant on current restrictions). Staff are highly skilled in using online platforms to stream an event or celebrate an achievement with your community virtually. In addition to livestream packages, we can connect young musicians, emcees and DJs for entertainment and support you to increase the production quality of your event with some equipment.
Cost: There is a cost involved if Jets deliver the event with staffing which is $55 per staff member per hour.

NEW - ART & MUSIC VIBES - CREATIVE WORKSHOPS TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD.
We are now offering 2 new creative workshops that help young people to explore ideas, skills and thoughts about themselves through creative mediums. These 40 minute workshops can be great tools to share and work together. Staff deliver these sessions virtually via zoom online platform. Preparatory notes are provided to prepare your group.
- Art Vibes - a great way to explore mindfulness while being creative. Participants share their creations and talk about their work, a few simple drawing and art games are shared and ideas of how art can be used to express yourself.
- Music Vibes - what is music too you, how do you use it? Join Simon to explore your favourite tunes and connect with others around music. A great tool for life to use music to reflect how you are feeling and work through things.
