Wellbeing

Year 5/6

On Monday, 7th November, the Year 5/6 student will participate in the first of a series of workshops facilitated by the REACH foundation.

What is REACH? Why have we invited them to work with our senior students?

Their slogan and the blurb below provide insight into what the Senior children at Holy Family will be experiencing in the three workshops.

UNLOCKING THE POWER OF YOUNG PEOPLE SO THEY CAN SHAPE THEIR OWN LIVES.

Through engaging and transformative youth-led workshops, Reach helps build social, emotional, and resilience skills among young people so they can navigate life’s challenges and thrive.

These targeted, youth-led programs aim to promote, prevent and early intervention in mental health in young people. This proven, peer-to-peer approach creates relatable, interactive and engaging spaces while empowering young people to build the capacity to thrive and navigate life’s challenges.

We invest in young facilitators to design and deliver transformative experiences for young people.
We connect young people to create a sense of social belonging, have breakthrough conversations and build emotional resilience/courage.
Our workshops are 100% led by young people. They design it and deliver it. They're armed with the kind of insight only a young person can grasp.

We look forward to sharing what the children have learned with you in our next newsletter.
