Thank You TC Community

We would like to say a huge thank you to our TC Community for your clothing donations. Our clothing drive has saved a massive 170kg of clothing and shoes from entering landfill! This far exceeded our expectations.

Australians buy an average of 14.8kg of clothing, or 56 new items, every year, a new report has found, making Australia one of the highest consumers of textiles per capita in the world. At the other end of the fashion cycle, roughly 260,000 tonnes, or 10kg a person, reaches landfill each year.  Here are 10 ways to reuse, reduce and recycle your clothes:

  1. Increase the number of times you wear your clothes
  2. Repair your existing clothes
  3. Look after your clothes
  4. Buy quality over quantity
  5. Buy clothes made of eco-friendly materials
  6. Rent
  7. Shop preloved
  8. Donate
  9. Upcycle
  10. Sell your clothes online
