Dunlop

Thank you to all of our students' staff and parents on the completion of a fantastic year in Dunlop House.

At the start of the year, we welcomed 72 new year 7 students and at the end of the year, we said a fond farewell to our Dunlop year 12 class of 2022. We wish these students very well in their future endeavours.

It was so great to be back on site for a full year of learning and to be able to run the

extra-curricular activities this year. Some of the many highlights were our production of "School of Rock" in the house performing arts festival as well as participation in so many other events including sports, music, subject competitions, and clubs.

I would like to thank all the Dunlop teaching staff for their dedication to the students this year. Our 16 mentor teachers cared for their students as well as facilitating a lot of learning activities and fun events.

A particular thank you to Brittany Milner and Kazi Mapuranga - the assistant house leaders for providing guidance for students and staff. Thank you to Sally Reilly who has assumed the post of Dunlop House Admin assistant and to Jo Henry for performing this role for a period of time.

We wish Leesa Reynolds (D16 mentor teacher) a fond farewell as she pursues a job at another school. We were also lucky enough to congratulate Ashleigh Hosier and Hannah Rosa who had children throughout the year. We also said farewell to Mr. Lou Bai during the year who is pursuing his teaching overseas as well as Karolina Clouston. A big thank you to our former admin assistant Loula Tarenides. We welcomed new staff members to Dunlop including  Rebecca Hellweg, Marta Ivkov, Glenn Molony, Shuran He, Raphael Mao, Kerwin Alcantara, Shona Perrin, Dini Herath, and Jihan Heenkenda who all took on mentor group roles in our ever-growing 'family'.

A big congratulations to Ruby Valentine (D1) who competed in the recent national Dance and cheerleading championship in Queensland. She placed third in the lyrical Dance section. Great job Ruby.

Last week our year 9 students undertook the year 9 city experience, and a lot of fun was had by all as shown in the photos.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break and look forward to working with everyone again next year.
