Student of the Week Awards Presented 4/11/22

Kaiden B. - 00L

This award goes to Kaiden for settling back into the classroom so wonderfully this week. He came back with a terrific attitude, ready to learn all our classroom routines. Kaiden also worked very cooperatively with his partner in maths to compare the capacity of different containers. He took great care to measure carefully and share which held ‘more’ or ‘less’. Kaiden, your are a Scoresby Superstar!

Phoebe K. - 1/2D

Phoebe is receiving this award for her enthusiasm and drive towards her learning. This week, she has demonstrated the HEART value of Excellence during our Maths and Digi Tech investigations. Phoebe used her prior knowledge and problem-solving skills to work through challenging tasks. Well done Phoebe. You’re a star!

Mia D.  - 1/2G

This award goes to Mia for being a Scoresby Superstar. Mia is a great example of someone who shows her HEART values each day and is kind to everyone. She is extremely respectful to not only me but her peers. This week Mia spent time doing partner reading with students in the class to help them better their reading. So lovely to see. Keep being you Mia, you are amazing.

Aaliyah L. - 1/2K

This award goes to Aaliyah for her enthusiasm when participating in our class discussions. She enthusiastically raises her hand to contribute her ideas. She has developed more confidence in having a go, even if she is not sure of her suggestions. I’m so proud of you Aaliyah for taking responsible risks in your learning. You are a STAR!

Varsha K. - 3/4B

This award goes to Varsha for her great work in Writing this week. Varsha wrote an interesting recount about her camp experience with beautiful handwriting. She included a range of details and different time connectives to make her writing interesting to read. Keep up the wonderful work Varsha!

Lakeyn E. - 3/4K

This award goes to Lakeyn for the way that he has been challenging himself to try new things. Lakeyn has pushed himself out of his comfort zone in recent weeks by speaking at assembly and attending camp. It was great to read in your recount about how much you loved the new activities at camp and the food. Well done Lakeyn, keep trying new things!

Yahya M. - 3/4S

This award goes to Yahya for his continued focus and attention to all work tasks. Yahya approaches each activity with a positive attitude and a willingness to do his very best. Yahya, you are demonstrating fantastic work habits that will provide you with a great start in the senior school.

Alex M. - 5/6F

This award goes to Alex for demonstrating the HEART Value of Excellence in maths this week. He put lots of work into creating a geometric design and labelling its angles. Alex then accurately estimated, measured and classified the angles. He should be very proud of his work!

Jake W. - 5/6M

This award is presented to Jake for his information report on Bolivia. Jake was able to research information, then plan draft and edit his report with assistance. Jake confidently presented his published copy to the class and we are all very proud of his efforts.

Ava S. - 5/6W

This award goes to Ava for her wonderful information report on Greece. Ava thoughtfully planned and researched key information to include and then drafted a well written report. Wonderful effort Ava! Keep up the great work.

Mia S. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Mia for her effort, contributions and achievement in Performing Arts lessons. Mia is a great team-player and consistently contributes to our class ensemble. Well done Mia!   

Logan S. - Mandarin

This award acknowledges Logan for his work in Mandarin class. We are revising all of the family words in Mandarin and Logan knows most of the words. He is especially good at saying 'mum' and 'dad' in Mandarin. Keep up the good work, Logan.

Dante K. - Physical Education

This award goes to Dante for his enthusiasm during our tennis unit in PE. Dante demonstrated wonderful hand-eye coordination when practising different tennis skills. He tried his best and encouraged his peers. Fantastic work Dante!
