Valedictory Day

One of the highlights of Valedictory Day for me was the Chapel service. The selected bible reading from Proverbs highlighted the importance of positive relationships. As students leave school, they reflect deeply on the relationships they have developed, some have existed since their early school years. The opening of the chosen reading states, “Don’t lose your grip on Love and Loyalty”. These words provide wisdom in our Christian education at GSG.

Respecting each other, showing compassion in times of need and the cornerstones of friendships, all wrap in the virtues of love and loyalty. It was a special day on so many levels; we are very proud of the Class of 2022.  We wish them well.

World Teachers' Day

World Teachers' Day 2022 is celebrated across Australia on Friday 28 October. It provides an opportunity to recognise and thank teachers, and support staff, who work at our school. Teachers and staff at GSG make a significant difference to the lives of young people. The day reminds us of other many unseen and unexpressed actions of staff in striving to educate our students. Being a teacher is a wonderful privilege, and as teachers, we continue to highlight the important status of our profession. With a father who was a teacher and my two children who are teachers, I highly recommend the rewards of being in this profession. So…… “Hats off to Teachers”.
