Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families
FOOTSTEPS INTO FOUNDATION
On Wednesday the 16th of October, we welcomed back students who had attended previous Footsteps in Foundation sessions as well as new children who will be our 2023 Foundation students. The transition session was held in the morning and the children participated in both Physical Education and Kitchen Garden activities with Miss Thompson and Miss Po.
During Kitchen Garden the children went on a garden hunt, where they went into the vegetable garden to look for several items such as strawberries, worms, and a watering can. In Physical Education, the students played duck, duck, goose and a bean bag hula hoop game.
Our future foundation students had a wonderful time in the morning, and it was great to see their faces again. The Foundation team are looking forward to having the 2023 Foundation students back for their third Footsteps into Foundation session on Wednesday the 30th of October.
YEAR 1 & 2 PUFFING BILLY EXCURSION
On Wednesday 16th November, the Year 1 & 2 students went to Puffing Billy to learn more about our Discovery unit, transport. Although the weather was a little rainy, we still enjoyed the cool breeze on the steam train and a trip to the Lakeside Museum.
After we finished lunch we went to the museum and saw interesting stuff about engines.
