Mentone Mock MUNA

MGSC ran its very own MUNA recently, gathering a group of students of all ages to become delegates of a country of their choice.

The topic debated was climate change, giving the delegates a prevalent yet significant issue to discuss at length with a variation of opinion coming from either side of the conversation. Every  partnership selected a country in order to debate on behalf of.

These included Russia, Iran, China, USA, England, Iceland and Australia. The discussion commenced with the speeches prepared by the representatives. Each country delegate spoke with articulation and eloquence and incorporated statistics to support their countries views, and all contributions were welcomed.

Everyone took a unique perspective depending on each current climate situation. Throughout the meeting, some excellent rebuttals and feuds unfurled which was both informative and exhilarating to take part in. Offers were made and ideas proposed, and the thorough research that was accomplished paid off in more ways than one. During each rebuttal insightful retaliations were incorporated and everyone took part in doing so.

Overall this event was a big success (according to its participants and viewers) and everyone took something away from the experience!
