Year 10 Girls Netball Team

The Year 10 Girls Netball team headed to the State Hockey Netball Centre bright and early to take on the challenge of competing against the best Intermediate Netball teams in the State.

The St. Joseph’s girls were able to hold their own winning 2 of their 6 games, and only falling a few goals short in the games they lost. St. Joseph’s finished 4th on the ladder for the competition.

All girls played well and showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Senior Girls Basketball

Tuesday 18th September saw the Senior Girls Basketball girls play in the State Finals in Melbourne coached by Mrs Ellie Cuttriss.

The girls played a hard three games of basketball, their determination on the court mixed with their ability to have fun while they played was evident.  They won one out of the three games however the pressure they applied in each game saw the other teams having to think about their game play.  The games that they went down in were close and challenging but the girls did it with a smile on their face!

Well done to the team of Remy Day, Emmy Simpson, Lucy Higgins, Rosy Miechel, Grace Hammond, Bridget Byrne, Liv Taverna and Tilly Gray.  An amazing effort to make the State Finals.
