What's Happening?
Welcome BBQ
On Thursday 8th February, we will be holding our annual welcome BBQ at Numurkah Primary school.
This will be a very informal get together, with a free sausage in bread, and an opportunity for families to have a look at their child’s classroom.
The BBQ will run between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. We hope to see you there.
Swimming
The 2018 Swimming Program will commence on Monday 12th February, and continues for 10 swimming days (eight for Preps and 9 for 5/6 students), followed by the swimming sports. (See attached sheet for all dates). This is a valuable water safety & skills program and runs very smoothly with the fantastic support we get from parent helpers. If you are able to help with swimming please return the appropriate form attached to the swimming permission forms which will be handed out tomorrow. Because our Preps go swimming in their first weeks of school, extra help at the indoor pool would be appreciated, in the pool and helping in the change rooms. All swimming notes need to be returned by Thursday 8th February, so that we can have everything in place for the following week (including rosters). If you are unsure of anything related to swimming (especially if you are new to the school), please contact us. Swimming co-ordinator this year is: David Jenner.
***Please note that our Yr 5/6 students will have an excursion to the Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay at Yarrawonga on Thursday 15th February. The cost that the 5/6 parents have paid for the Thursday Swimming session, will instead cover the cost of the excursion to Yarrawonga (no make up swimming session required here). A separate note for this excursion will be sent home to families shortly. Year 4 students in 4/5W will attend swimming lessons from 11.15 – 12.00 with 3/4S on Thursday 15th February.
Queens Baton Relay
Year 5 and 6 students will be attending the Queens Baton relay in Yarrawonga on Thursday 15th February. There will be no cost involved for this excursion. Further information will be sent home with students shortly.
