Term 1 Week 4

Show Us Your Wheels

Only the last few things to do for show Us Your Wheels before the big day on Sunday. On Friday 10.00am, we are having the cooking morning with the children to cook some yummy cakes and slices to sell at the cake stall. Saturday 9.00 am is a Working Bee to start the set up for Sunday and tidy up the grounds. The lawns will be mowed on Friday. Don't forget to let your family and friends know to come down on Sunday. This is always a great fundraiser for our school and a nice way to catch up with other families in the community.

Managing our waste

Last Tuesday the 4-6 students travelled to Whitfield to work with Tom from CERES about managing waste in our school. The children learnt about how to recycle better. One of the changes we will make at school is to have a soft plastics collection bin so we can recycle our soft plastics. Also the students want to set up a box for recycling of old mobile phones. As time goes on, maybe we will organise more recyclable containers that we can support the community with their recycling.

Thursday Playgroup

Every Thursday there is a playgroup here at Moyhu Primary School. All are welcome from near and far. This is always a great way to meet other local parents as well as an opportunity for your younger children to play and socialise with others. Access to our kitchen and Mosh room is provided to use for activities therefore it doesn't matter what the weather is like on the morning as you can be inside or outside.
