Living with Strength and Kindliness

Change is an essential ingredient in God’s plan. The longest series of change - evolution - has occurred throughout all time, culminating in the ultimate transformation in Christ - a resurrection for all, as long as we seek it and as often as we need it.

Last week, we all learned of an exciting change in all our lives: the purchase of 80 acres of land on Mt Terrick Road for our new campus.

More than a change, this is an evolution - something we need to continue our mission of providing quality education and care to our students, and so very welcome.

We welcomed the Master Plan drawings with our fullest imaginations and began dreaming with so much pleasure and excitement, happy chatter, congratulations and smiles.

This dreaming and joy is ours to keep as we continue the work together. We are walking toward countless possibilities for continuation as well as improvement; we are also walking toward changes to our daily lives and for our staff-team, our daily professional lives.

Sometimes engineering this change will be daunting.

But in God’s creation, we see constant change and evolution,  with it’s eternal thread of generosity and beauty to sustain and guide it.

In our own evolution of St. Joseph's we have St. Brigid’s values of generosity and hospitality. We have the ultimate Creator’s promises. And we have each other for support.

We will hold fast to these: our own internal thread to sustain and guide us.

And we know we will be guided and inspired as we decide how to balance our evolution and maintain our constancy.

Our cup overflows!

Yours in peace and joy,
