Cumberland House Orienteering

The Year 3-6 Cumberland House orienteering competition was completed on Friday 20 September with sunny conditions on the Aitken College grounds. Students had been learning about orienteering and training in Physical Education classes leading up to the competition. Orienteering involves navigating, in sequence, to different control points that are located on a special course, using a specially-drawn map. The Year 5-6 students also found punch markers along the course.

Primary Interschool Sport October 2019

Woodlands Division Basketball

The Year 5/6 Boys Basketball team competed in the Woodlands Division Championships recently. Although the team did not win, they represented Aitken College incredibly well and enjoyed the experience. Well done to Miss Crole and Miss Jackson and the boys team for progressing this far in SSV sport.

 

Hooptime Basketball - State

A huge congratulations goes to our Year 3 & 4 Future Stars Hooptime Basketball team who competed at their Regional tournament recently and qualified for State! What an incredible achievement! Thank you to Mr Mackrell for his involvement with the team and to Lily and Chloe who were ‘Assistant Coaches’ on the day. The team will attend the State Finals in late November; we wish them well.

NMR & State Athletics

Well done to the following students who competed at the Northern Metropolitan Athletics Championships - Sienna D, Chelsey C, Georgia D, Luca S, Tarik B, Kaylin A, Alex M and Jai G.

 

Kaylin A qualified for State in the High Jump and represented Aitken incredibly well. Well done on such an outstanding achievement Kaylin!
