Rushworth Community House
Each Monday we have a student representative from each class go to Rushworth Community House to help with the 10am craft group.
This craft group is open to everyone. We encourage any family member that is interested in crafts and are available at 10am on a Monday to participate in this opportunity. We have also been informed that young children are able to accompany you.
Likewise, if you know of anyone who is interested in crafts, please let them know of this session.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN results have been sent home to students in Grade 3 and 5 last week.
There have been some changes to this year’s reporting. These are changes being introduced nationally by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). NAPLAN will continue to measure student achievement in numeracy, reading, writing, spelling and grammar and punctuation, but the results will now be presented in four proficiency levels. These are:
- Exceeding
- Strong
- Neveloping
- Needs additional support
These changes allow for clearer understanding about a student's achievement. There still remains a shaded area where 50% of the results from students taking the test rest, and an arrow to indicate the national average.
Due to these changes, the Grade 5 reports will not compare growth from their Grade 3 NAPLAN results.
Please remember that NAPLAN is only one set of assessments that your child completes at one point in time; it is not an overarching assessment on who your child is in all areas of life.
Big Write and VCOP Talk Homework
Our next Big Write will be held on Thursday 3rd August, 2023. Our topic will be:
Inform and Empower - E-safety
Over the past two weeks, the students have been participating in their term 3 virtual incursions for e-safety. Below is the information sheet for parents for each class. The Foundation students use the same information sheet as the Grade 1/2s.
