Premiers' Reading Challenge & Dymocks - Lit Club 4 Kids Information

The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge is well under way, with many of our DPS students reading and reviewing books regularly. Well done to the 18 students who have completed the challenge so far! As a school, we have read over 970 books. There is still plenty of time for all of our students to try their best to complete the challenge by the 8th of September.

Here are some excellent reviews from our students!

Charlie and the chocolate factory

★★★★

Very good book, after I read this I got an urge to read the next bit and to read other Roald Dahl books.

Wonder

★★★★★

Wonder was an amazing and compelling book about a young boy named August who struggles to get through middle school due to a certain disability. The author has based this story on a certain moment in her life. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 star rating because the author did a unique thing, she divided the book into eight parts, so the reader could experience what was going on from different character’s perspectives. Although the book had a few somber parts, over all the book was amazing to me.

Room on the broom

★★★★★

My favourite part is when they have a new magnificent broom and they fly away happy.
