Women In Trades

GoTAFE was the site for our 'Women in Trades' team to experience a variety of trades for day two of the program.

Students heard from GoTAFE trade managers, Headstart (school based apprenticeships and traineeships) and MAS National about apprenticeships and traineeships, either when they complete their schooling or during their schooling as part of their time table.

The second day experience was electrical, plumbing and building along with the MAS National Trade trailer learning how to change washers on taps and door handles.

This program was terrific with the students fully engaged in the possibilities, congratulations to them all for having a go. Many thanks to Watters Electrical, Total Plaster Supplies, Sunraysia Institute of TAFE, GOTAFE, Mas National and Headstart for providing this opportunity.
