Cebula Boarding

Boarding News

Dear Boarding Parents and Guardians

The Cebula Boarding House in in full swing for Term 3 with the boys returning refreshed after the break. We welcomed four new boys and their families to our residential community, and they have all settled in really well which is great to see.

Our Extended Care Program – offering day families flexibility in having their sons stay in boarding is also working well, with two days boys already joining the boarders for periods of time during the week and over the weekend this term.

A vibrant activity program is an integral part of any boarding community. In addition to our weekend recreation program, each term we offer additional activities of interest. This week a number of the boys begin professional golf lessons at Hillview Golf Course and we are currently finalising details for a kayaking course later in the year when the weather isn’t as bitterly cold as it’s been of late.

Last Sunday evening we were fortunate to have Fr Gerry Conlan, a former Mazenod boarder, celebrate Mass for us. Father Gerry has been working in Kenya and shared a little about his experiences over the years. He also reminisced about his time as a boarder and even managed to find his old room!
