2023 Australian Teacher Aide of the Year Awards
We are delighted to share Mrs Kathryn Duffy has been nominated for the 2023 Australian Teacher Aide of the Year Awards.
Kathryn has been recognised by the positive impact she has on student learning and wellbeing, her collaboration with teachers and colleagues and her commitment to improving her professional practice.
Congratulations Mrs Duffy, we are so proud of this remarkable achievement.
Fingers crossed as the Award Finalists will be announced on Thursday 17th August.

Grandparents' Day - Friday 28th July
Just a few reminders about Grandparents' Day on Friday:
- Please do not park in the church car park or the bus bay (the bus bay is needed for the Infants' children)
- Please ensure you sign in at the tables near the front gate or the hall entrance.
- Please enjoy our art display after the Liturgy. At the end of the picnic, you may take the artwork home.
- Have a wonderful time celebrating family and the special people in your life!
Family Mass (K, 3 & 6)
Please join us for our first Family Mass of the term this Sunday 30th July at 9.00am.
Students from Kinder, Year 3 and Year 6 will be reading, ushering and part of the procession of the gifts. Mass will be followed by a morning tea. Students from Kinder, Year 3 and 6 and their families are asked to bring a plate of morning tea to share. All families are welcome. We hope to see you there!
Confirmation
The Confirmation Information Night will be held on Tuesday 1st August at 6.00pm in the Year 6 rooms.
The Enrolment Mass will be held on Saturday 5th August at 5.30pm. It is a Parish requirement that all candidates enrol for the Sacrament.
LIBRARY NEWS
Premier's Reading Challenge
Many students and their families nominated to complete the Premier's Reading Challenge this year. Please be aware that time is quickly getting away for this year. We are steadily working towards completing the Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 challenge with library and literacy lessons, but students working on this independently with families from K-6 need to keep going!
The closing date is Friday 18th August.
Book Week Parade
Book Week falls in Week 6 this term. The theme this year is "Read, Grow Inspire". We have some great activities planned in the Library over the next 6 weeks.
Dates have been locked in for this year's 2023 Book Week Parade. We invite students to dress up as their favourite book character and participate in our parade to celebrate.
Infants - Thursday 24th August
Primary - Friday 25th August

Early Bird Reading Club
Please remind your child that the Early Bird Reading Club is on each day from 8.30am. This is an opportunity for students to get in some valuable quiet reading time. Every chance to read personal choice books can only help reading development and building reading abilities.
At Infants there is always an opportunity to read with the library staff. Stickers, books and lots of congratulations are always available. At Primary it is quiet independent reading in a warm comfortable space.

Encourage your child to be a part of our busy, happy, vibrant library community by occasionally joining in with any or all of these activities.
What day is the library open on each campus?
Primary: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
Infants: Thursday and Friday every week.
Both campuses are open:
From 8.30am for Early Bird reading and sticker collecting; and Recess and Lunch in playtime for reading, drawing and various clubs.
