Year 4

Bella Abruzzese

In Year 4 this week, students took their addition and subtraction skills to the real world by practising using money. With great enthusiasm, they engaged in practical scenarios like shopping at a bakery, where they calculated totals, received change, and compared prices. They also had a chance to make a budget and buy classroom items. The hands-on experience not only honed their mathematical abilities but also instilled a sense of financial responsibility. The students gained valuable life skills to navigate the world of money confidently and learnt how expensive a cinnamon scroll really is in the real world!
