Year 2 & 4

This week the Year 2/4 have begun to publish and illustrate their fantastic narratives. The students have all worked on increasing their typing speed and accuracy with their narratives. Year 4 students will need these skills when they tackle NAPLAN next year because the tests are all typed nowadays. 

Year 4 have begun working on decimals to two decimal places. They used MAB blocks to model and order decimals and decided they weren't so hard after all.

Everyone enjoyed learning about lines of symmetry. We used Ipad geoboards to create half a pattern and then someone else had to finish the opposite side. This may sound simple but some of the patterns created were very complex. We then used our names to create a Psychedelic Symmetry Monster.
