The Resilience Project at Home

Checking In

We all know how important it is to stay connected with family, friends and our kids, especially when others are going through a really tough time.  Sometimes having that conversation and providing the support that others might need can be tricky to navigate.

Leading on from 'R U OK?' Day, The Resilience Project has passed on some resources to support those around you who might be doing it tough.

Check out the video below, for an open and honest conversation between KISS FM Radio Host’s Will & Woody.  It has some really helpful tips on supporting people going through a difficult period or struggling with a mental illness.

Looking for further ways to support your family's well-being?  They have updated their Parenting Section on TRP@HOME.  Filled with resources, expert knowledge, and stories, they've loaded this section with ideas for parents and carers to support their own well-being, plus a range of tips to help them embed positive mental health habits with the rest of the family.

The Springers Spirit

It has been wonderful to see that even Lockdown 6.0 has not deterred the Springers community from practising The Resilience Project's Principles of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness.  This year, students have learned that when practising these things daily, they are more likely to show resilience and improved well-being when things get a bit rough.

The #DISMOMENT Challenge

We would love to learn about what makes you happy, and the moments when you are grateful.  The next time you see something you're really grateful for, something you're happy to have... stop.  Point to it. Just say "DIS”!

Watch the video above for Hugh and Martin's explanation of the #DISMOMENT challenge, and share your #DISMOMENTS with us on Facebook!

TRP App

Available for iPhone and Android devices, The Resilience Project app is a daily well-being journal. The aim is to develop emotional literacy, engage with the positive things in life and be actively present.
