Literacy

This term, students will be busy planning, drafting, editing and publishing work for our Miners Rest Primary School Writers Festival, being held in Week 5!

Students will have more choice this year about what they are writing and how they would like to publish it, with 20 prize packs up for grabs!

Our school community is invited to come along to view students' work on the Friday of Week 5 (stay tuned for the finer details in weeks to come).

We can't wait to see the amazing work our students will create and we look forward to sharing it with you all in Week 5.

Numeracy-LEGO and MATHS

The image below shows a life-size giraffe made from LEGO pieces. It currently stands outside the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Berlin, Germany.

Below are some activities (from The Mathematical Association of Victoria) which you may like to use at home. Or alternatively, create your own lego masterpiece at home and delve into some mathematical problem solving questions!
