Our Year 10 students were given lessons in the basics of customer service this week thanks to a partnership with the Greater Shepparton City Council and GoTafe. These sessions aim to give students both a good attitude and a willingness to learn, as well as the confidence to seek out work opportunities. Thank you to our community partners in retail and hospitality.
Last Term a number of Ganbina Education Program participants in Years 7 - 9 enjoyed a day of industry tours, hosted at Bunnings Warehouse and Kmart in Shepparton. The tours gave a behind the scenes look at operations at both businesses and allowed Greater Shepparton Secondary College students to learn about opportunities for casual and part-time work, both now and in the future. The students were also kept busy building their very own toolboxes at the on-site Bunnings workshop!
Thank you to Ganbina for their continuous support and for providing these valuable opportunities for our students.
Sarah Poppa from GoTafe held a pop-up stall for students to find out information about courses and pathways to a wide range of careers. Thank you Sarah!
