SAC Chairperson's Report from the Tuesday, 18th October meeting.

Well, we are into Term 4 – time has flown. The year has truly been extraordinary so far. From negotiating constantly changing COVID restrictions to trying to navigate back to normality with friends and family. In person activities such as the camps, excursions and incursions have been well received and provided great learning and social opportunities for all.

Due to council members' availability, the Term 3 SAC meeting was cancelled, however, we reconvened on Tuesday 18/10/22. During our meeting, the SAC was lucky enough to walk through the new building, which is close to completion. Once you get the chance to walk through the space and imagine your children using the facilities, I’m sure you will agree that the wait will be worth it. The classrooms and adjoining activity areas are spacious and functional and will help facilitate great learning outcomes for our children.

The 28th of October is World Teacher's Day, so on behalf of the SAC, I wish all the staff a great day and thank you for all your efforts in providing quality education and leadership in a caring community spirit for our children.

At the time of writing this message, Melbourne, Victoria and NSW are suffering devastating flooding. On behalf of the SAC, I extend my best wishes to all those affected.

While I know Christmas is some time off, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and an energised and healthy start to 2023 as we look forward to the opportunities of the new year.
