International Student Program

Welcome back  for Term 2. We hope you all had a restful school break.

Term 2 New Arrivals

We are so excited that we have 2 new international students, Veron and Kumi.

Veron is from Fiji and he will commence in Year 7 mainstream. Veron won a lot of soccer competition tournaments at his old school. He was so excited when he saw the guitars at our Performing Arts Centre as he is a good bass guitar player. Veron will live with his parents in Mordialloc.

Kumi is from Japan and will start in the ILC before moving to Year 7 mainstream. We have mentioned Kumi several times in our newsletter as her siblings, Keika and Naoto, are both studying at our College. We are so pleased that Kumi can finally go to school together with her siblings. They live with their mother and grandmother in Cheltenham.

We wish them all the best in their studies at Mordialloc College.

Parent/Teacher Interview

We are so pleased that all our international students attended the interview with their parents/guardians/and homestay hosts. Thank you to Ms Podesser, our International Student Year Level Coordinator, who arranged students' study progress feedback from their teachers in advance.  Due to the language barrier, Mr Yin and Ms Mao individually translated the feedback from teachers. It was a huge effort, so many thanks to our ISP team, in particular, and to all those teachers who teach our international students in the mainstream for making the event run smoothly and successfully.

College House Athletics

Congratulations on Praniska, Jeremy and Henry for participating in the House Athletics event. Praniska won the 1st prize with her classmates for tug of war. Jeremy and Henry finished the 3500 m long distance event, which was quite an achievement! We are very proud of them and encourage more students to engage with our College events.
