Principal's Report

Lindy Burke

It is hard to believe that the term is almost over, with only 3 ½ school days next week, we will all be on holidays before we know it! But it was another big week at Echuca East Primary school this week… and how great is the Friday Shuffle!

NATIONAL YOUNG LEADERS DAY

After a massive week last week celebrating ‘Ride2SchoolDay’, our Grade 6 leaders (and Fleur and Kathy) had the amazing opportunity to attend the National Young Leaders Day in Melbourne on Monday. Our leaders were privileged to meet and listen to: Robert ‘Dipper’ Dipierdomenico – AFL Football Legend, Nazeem Hussain – Comedian and Author, Candy Hertz – TV Sports Broadcaster, Amanda Johnstone – Tech Inventor and DJ Raf -The Host of National Young Leaders Day. The theme for the day was “ You can do and be anything you put your mind to”. Listening to the sharing of many inspirational stories – including their often, very  long paths to success, the entertainment throughout the day and just immersing themselves in such an experience is something our young leaders will never forget. Thank you to both Fleur and Kathy for making this excursion possible – It was a VERY EARLY START for all!
