Schools Clean Up Day and Ride2School Day

Schools Clean Up Day on the 7th of March was a great success with all classes participating in cleaning up our school and surrounding environment. The day was a good reminder to ourselves of the importance of working together to reduce the amount of waste our school creates. After collecting all the rubbish on the day, the Green Team, 4A and 4B took on the large task of conducting an audit of the collected waste. We collected a total of 3160 pieces of rubbish with the largest contribution being 1120 pieces of paper material and 1350 icy pole sticks. Students noticed a big difference in the way our school looked immediately!

Thank you to all the students and families who participated in Ride2School Day on the 24th of March. It was a great success with all the bike and scooter racks full, as well as our overflow bike parking spots on the cottage deck, year 3 deck and under Miss Ashton's room. Please congratulate 2A for coming first in the junior primary with 94% participation and 3B and 4B for coming equal first in the upper primary with 95% participation. Everyone's combined participation has helped reduce the amount of carbon emissions released into our environment.

Thank you.

Green Team.

Come join the Green Team!

This year Green Team meetings will be on Tuesday lunch times in 5B - everyone is welcome to join us!
