Cadets Update

The Secondary Cadets (Emergency Services Cadets Unit) has been learning Archery in Term 3 and 4 and having a fabulous time putting their knowledge into practice! This is conducted in a safe and compliant environment.   They have also been participating in Community Service and assisting the Shire of Mukinbudin in spreading the gravel along the edges of the new footpaths.  We have some very hardworking students amongst us!

Kindy/PP

The Kindy students participated in their first cooking experience in class last week whilst the PP kids were at swimming lessons. Mrs Lamond commented that they did very well! We love the cute aprons the K/PP's wear during cooking time; these were kindly donated by Mukinbudin Community Bank.

Brilliant Brains

There was a lot of splishing and splashing at Brilliant Brains this week with our theme of The Ocean and Water Fun. We had a sensory pool with rose petals to feel and lemons to smell. There was a floating and sinking pool, a pool for pouring and measuring and a pool to create a beach scene. The students made boats and painted paper to find their invisible name. We listened to a retelling of the story “The Rainbow Fish”, with Ruby being a lovely fish and sharing the shiny scales. The students then made their own rainbow fish and shared their shiny scales with each other. The children also demonstrated their fine motor skills with water guns to wash their initials off the wall. We finished with some climbing and playing with the trucks and tractors in the primary playground.

See you all soon for some more educational fun. Kerryn Seaby, Coordinator
